I’ve bought these many times because of the convenience and the long – up to three years – shelf life. The flavor is what you should expect for both of those traits, and is what keeps this from being a five star product..

Almost anything “ginger” appeals to me. For lunch, I usually have a giant bowl of greens with sunflower seeds, fresh cracked black pepper, and a flavorful ginger dressing. I don’t eat a lot of meat and I discovered/decided I need more protein in my diet. I tried one of these in my salad one day and it’s not an exaggeration to say I nearly licked the bowl clean! Oh, so good with the ginger dressing! It’s economical, high quality protein in bulk this way and I probably couldn’t get this type of quantity from my grocery store when it goes on sale. I sure hope the manufacturer doesn’t stop making this variety. I will say that as good as it is, it could be less sweet, but I still give it 5 stars.

I bought this specifically for one reason — to make a smoked tuna cream cheese and it was great. You can simply make any compound cream cheese without spending alot of money at the deli. Put a pack of cream cheese in a strong bowl and a pack of the smoked tuna (or whatever else your heart desires) and work that pack of tuna in with a spoon until its pretty well combined. Then put it in a small bowl with a cover and put it on a bagel or whatever you like. But the smoked tuna is dynamite.

I love this flavor of tuna. With mayo it makes 1 1/2 sandwiches. I eat it right out of the pack if I’m hungry.
